II Bacaro @ Campbell House,Penang

II Bacaro

I love Italian food,like seriously because Italian food is just so warm and hearty whether its pasta or pizza or even gelato.just fills the heart lol.and also the fact that almost everything has cheese 

Recently i had dinner at II Bacaro which is the restaurant of Campbell House,Campbell Street,Georgetown,Penang.I never knew this place existed until we were driving around Georgetown heritage area and decided to try the food there

campbell house is actually a heritage hotel.purposely went across the street to take this shot! the watermark was necessary lol

love the lobby.simple wooden staircase and furniture,vintaged framed photos,room keys with tags hanging on the wall instead of keycards,and not to mention the trishaw outside.what's not to love?

honestly speaking,they have limited choices on their menu but luckily they have their daily specials on the board! and you can see the price range :)

I had a really hard time picking what to eat because as i said they had limited choices on the menu so i kept looking at the menu then the board over and over lol

Ice lemon tea and cappuccino (RM 9.00)

I ordered

Four Cheese Pasta (RM 28.00)

you cant be too surprised the cheese lover ordered this.i was happy with the pasta and the sauce but i expected it to be baked and there were no ingredients in it and had no balance? :/ was it worth the money?Not really.i'll stick to my classic carbonara :)

Chicken Milanese with Pasta Tomato and Basil (RM 29.00)

this on the other hand was so good :D looked small but was definitely not.chicken was cooked nicely,crunchy outside and moist inside.pasta was fresh with the tomato and basil! very well balanced dish :)

Pizza Turkey Ham and Mushrooms (RM 25.00)

dish of the night!no doubt.first impression,i thought the dough looked abit pale but it's actually very good.overall it was very simple and not too heavy.i actually prefered this to domino's which is very rare lol :p

I guess the question is will i come back here again?yes! because they serve really authentic Italian food.even the people who were serving us had unique accents.and i love the environment :) cant wait to have a second try at their pizza

So make sure to visit II Bacaro,Campbell House.
