Komugi Cafe @ Pavilion

Komugi Cafe

So as i mentioned in my previous blog post,i'll be blogging about my favourite cafe in KL which is Komugi Cafe,Pavilion. Its one of the shops in Tokyo Street, which is on the 6th floor of Pavilion. It is a Japanese cafe which serves japanese pastry, desserts, pastas, soup and coffee :D

Komugi
the cafe's sign

Its actually a really nice place to have your afternoon tea. They have a variety of pastry and desserts which are impossible to resist, especially if youre a sweet tooth like me :p but they also have other savoury dishes on the menu.so here are some photos of the cafe

colourful japanese cakes and swiss rolls displayed in the front to attract customers :p

look at those fruit tarts, mini fruit tarts, cheese tarts, cakes and macaroons!!how can you resist??if you're a macaroon fan,try their giant macaroons but sadly im no longer fond of macaroons...and btw sry for the crappy shot the backpack is blocking -_-

buns in disguise
buns made to look like oranges and apples.they can be really deceiving especially the ones in the middle disguised as mandarin oranges.never tried them before but i think i might the next time i visit KL :D

a wide selection of freshly baked pastries,bread,croissant....

so out of the many choices not only in the photos above, but also in the menu,we finally ordered cappuccino, strawberry cheesecake, croissants and a mini fruit tart.

Hello cappuccino
im not a hello kitty fan but i found this super cuteee and i love cappuccino/latte art (i think i mentioned it in my previous post lol) and this cafe's cappuccino/latte art is the nicest i've seen.confession: i purposely asked my mum to order cappuccino just to see the art because everytime she orders, the art is different *_*

Strawberry cheesecake
cookie base, spongy cheesecake, thin layer of cream and strawberries.look at the glaze on the strawberries omg and they put just enough cream :) i usually prefer a denser or more compact cheesecake instead of this spongy one but i still liked it

Mini fruit tart
again LOOK HOW GLOSSY.honestly,i dont like their fruit tart,i like the pastry and the fruits but i dont really like the sponge cake filling as i usually prefer my tarts to have a curd filling and i also dont like how much cream they put in there :/ their cheese tarts are much better

Croissant
i love my mum for taking this ham and cheese croissant.it might sound really simple and ordinary but this is really good!we took another of of this since it was so good.the croissant was so buttery and flaky unlike the one's i've had before, which were really dry :/ so this warm buttery croissant with the crispy ham and melted cheese just tasted like heaven in my mouth *_* we planned to bring some home the next day but we forgot......

Komugi cafe
love the environment.dont you?never fail to come here everytime i visit KL.looking forward to trying other things on their menu :D there's also one in mid valley but you cant eat there, only take away.oh and remember to visit Tokyo Street in Pavilion (6th Floor) :D
